Overview

Course Content/ Units
The course is divided into six modules covering the following units:

1. Project Appraisal and Assessment
2. Project Definition and Planning
3. Project Closure &Handover
4. Project Financial Management, Budgeting,and Approval
5. Project Management and Implementation
6. Dissertation

Intake and Mode of Learning

Intakes are in Jan / June/ September

Modes of Study Include:

Through lectures, tutorials, seminars/ journal clubs, practical and a research project
- Evening Classes (5.30 PM - 7.30 PM)
- Saturday Classes (8.30 AM - 5.30 PM)
- Distance Learning
Learners will be attached to a tutor to guide them in their assignments. The tutor will be somebody with PM knowledge in order to effectively supervise the student irrespective of their mode of study.

Examination Policy:

Assessment consists of three (3) Assignments, each covering two Modules. You may complete an assignment as soon as you have the knowledge and skills rather than waiting for a fixed examination session, giving you the flexibility to make study as intensive as you choose. However, learners are expected to finish their three assignment between 6-8 months.

The course tutor is responsible for signing off a Candidate Assessment Record (CAR) at the end of each unit, which attests to the student’s mastery of skills, knowledge and understanding.
Assignments are submitted to and reviewed by designated mentors, who will be responsible for giving appropriate feedback, this interaction provides the basis for a high standard of completed work and assists the student in expediting the assignments for their chosen project.

Entry Requirements

- A recognized University Degree in any field and a working experience of 2yrs
- A recognized PGD in any field and a working experience of 2yrs
- A recognized professional qualification, eg: PMP, ACISM, ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CSCMP, ACIWM, CIPS, CFA, PMI, APM etc and a working experience of 2yrs
- A recognized College Diploma in any field
- The applicant should demonstrate proficiency in office computer applications

Payment Mode:

Non-refundable application fee of GHc 50 or N5,000 or $35 USD or to be sent with application forms and relevant certificates.
Students will be allowed to pay fees in the following schemes:

• payment in two (2) installments
• payment in three (3) installments
NB: Non-African students pay 15% more on all charges.
Fee is payable by bankers cheque or cash at the institute cash office.
